In January 2023 we (my daughter and I) visited Toberua and were delighted to discover an authentic island experience that had us wishing we’d booked a few more days than we did!
I could tell on arrival, Toberua is going to be the PERFECT size island for a group of 30-40 to book exclusively. Or for couples wishing to elope or marry in a spot without the crowds, this is a location you should definitely consider based on the personalised levels of service and the fact you cannot help to feel relaxed!
Their team told me “Couples or families come to Toberua as visitors but leave as friends. Our returnee numbers are exceptionally high – people come back year after year. It’s amazing to see kids grow up, guests come back with grandkids and share in milestone birthdays, weddings and even just R&R holidays. We know all our guests by name and they know us too, we are very lucky to host people here at our island home”.
What I discovered about Toberua Island Resort:
Nothing is too much trouble, the team are super accommodating. Even the travel was flexible to and from the island, I didn’t need to try and make a scheduled departure, the simply asked “what time do you want to leave” and made it happen
I loved the bures – they are huge and so if you have any families travelling together they are big enough to all go in one bure. There are large decks and huge outdoor wet area, great for after the pool, boat or beach.
The food was AMAZING especially the seafood dishes
It’s so peaceful. Definitely the right place if you don’t want to deal with hundreds of other tourists.
I learned they will happily design and plan your wedding and any related functions/activities just for you – it will be unique to your requirements
It’s well priced across every aspect of the resort – enjoy your holiday in full at a price that doesn’t hurt your wallet
