Top 5 recommendations for locally sourced wedding favours

Hello there brides! Let’s chat wedding favours. And not just any old wedding favours, but ones that can be locally sourced in Fiji so you can support local artisans & small business, as well as save on precious luggage space!

We catch up with Laura from The Projects Collective Fiji on her top picks for wedding favours with a Fiji feel so you can treat your loved ones to a really great gift for taking the time to travel for your wedding.

  1. Personalized fans.  All time classical seller, popular with brides an guest alike.  Pretty and purposeful.  Something to take home and decorate with, or use. We work with several women and groups from Tailevu who have had the traditional art of wedding/ special occasion fan weaving passed down from mothers and grandmothers alike. We get reviews about people being fans of our fans! Our fans are really that good! In the last year, we have sold about 500, which is a great revenue for our ladies

2. Tanoa: still a classic in all designs and sizes. Lately we have been doing some personalized ones (cant share yet as we haven’t yet sent it to the bride!) and the ever classic vonu (turtle)

3. Matemosi Masi Flowers: hailing from the daughter of the designer of the original Fiji Airways logo, these traditional yet modern masi flowers in a range of colours are gaining popularity with bridal parties

4. Lami Kava Bag: Fijis most premium kava with a personalized message tag attached. Add coffee, bilos or any other little treats for a wonderful personalised pack!

5. South Seas salt: perfect for seasoning, cooking, tequila and cocktails.  Such amazing packaging, even better flavours!
