What inspired you to start your business and how long has your business been around?
We opened The Projects Fiji in June 2018 because we were tired of only seeing imported things from Bali & Thailand, masquerading as Pacific products, promoted to our tourist market.
We wanted to make a platform for Pacific and ethical creatives to trade fairly, with a bit of fun and flair.
Of course, we also wanted to have non-stop access to good coffee, good people, good beer & good times!
What makes your accessories unique?
All of our products & brands have a story. You can meet who has made your platter, your earrings or even your soap. When you buy crafts from small artisans you are investing in a dream. Plus, you are investing in quality, sustainable & unique belongings that people treasure forever.

Top tip for brides to consider while choosing their accessories?
We stock so many beautiful wedding gifts that couples absolutely adore as an ode to their Fijian nuptials. Local recipe books, mats, wooden kitchenware, handwoven bilums, and gorgeous gorgeous jewels. Think about what the couple (but mostly the bride haha) LOVE about Fiji and why they chose our islands as the home for their vows. I love all the amazing creatives I meet and the beautiful things I get to fill my wardrobe, home & presents with !
