Groom Style – When Freddie Met Lilly

There is always a lot of focus on the bride looking gorgeous for her wedding day, and rightly so – however there is no doubt that you want to have your partner looking his best on your big day too. Choosing a grooms outfit is one thing we regularly see popping up on social media forums – asking ‘help, what should my groom wear??’

Grooms-to-be getting married in Fiji can be seen choosing a wide range of options, from super casual through to very formal, and there is no right or wrong choice. Even very casual outfits can look amazing, you just need to be sure to choose quality fabrics, make sure they fit well and are well made. Team that with a nice haircut and tidy facial grooming for H2B and you’ll have one handsome man standing at the alter with you!

We recently teamed up with well known Australian company When Freddie Met Lilly to give you some groom wedding inspo, shot on location at The Warwick Fiji & Malamala Beach Club.

  • We love:
  • The pale grey suit with tan accents for the belt and shoes. Paired with a crisp white shirt and navy tie, this is a more formal option but the lighter colours still keep it beach appropriate.

  • We love
  • The Navy and white combo. This is on trend right now and is a much better option than black for a Fiji wedding if you groom prefers to stick with darker colours.

  • We love
  • Bow ties. If you check through weddings on our blog you’ll see lots of groom choosing a bow-tie rather than a tie. This is a great look when paired with a white shirt and shorts – with or without the jacket, and equally as good when paired with pants.

  • We love
  • A maroon tie with white shirt for a little bit of extra colour. The maroon tie will work well if you plan on having bright and tropical flowers and is a nice pop of colour. This combo would look great with Navy pants.

  • We love
  • Keep the suit but ditch the tie for a slightly more relaxed option. This still looks sharp but is slightly more relaxed and a lot more comfortable in the heat!
