Q&A with Victoria

Tell us a little about your background?
I am a self-taught makeup artist and fell into makeup artistry by accident. I am a designer and illustrator by ‘trade’ as well as part owner/operator of an extreme watersports business with my partner here in Nadi. Makeup is my passion and something that I feel privileged to do, especially when I am a part of someone’s big day. I am a kiwi gal who loves makeup but I am embrace and appreciate a bare face just as often as I do a made up one!

How did you begin your business?
The more I experimented with makeup, the more people asked me to teach, make up or review products for them! I started my beauty blog in 2014 and the rest is history!

What do you enjoy the most about what you do?
Playing with makeup and seeing it’s transformative properties increase someone else’s happiness. I also love how it brings people together.

Favourite location for a Fiji Wedding?
Well.. my own wedding will be this year in September at the humble Bounty Island! We love the staff and casual vibe the resort offers. It was the first island I came to when I visited Fiji.

Your favourite wedding you have worked on so far and why?
My friends wedding in Taranaki, New Zealand. It was such a pleasure to be involved from the early hours in her big day, it was so special.

Top tip for Bride & Grooms on their day?
For brides, if she can, she should carry a discreet powder for blotting away any shine, and a small gloss to touch up! For Grooms, do whatever makes your other half happy and stress free 😉

Favorite place to visit in Fiji?
Savusavu –  where we recently got engaged. It will forever have a space in my heart.

Favorite Love Song?
Latch – Sam Smith
