Tell us a little about your background?
We are two sisters coming from a family full of dancers so we’ve always been surrounded by costumes, sequins, glitz and glamour. This is what sparked our passion for fashion.
How did you begin your business?
Our journey into the bridal industry started when Abbey got engaged in 2009. After failing to find her perfect wedding dress within her budget she made the decision to work together with a dressmaker to bring her vision to life. This brought to our attention a huge gap in the market, and then Boho Bridal was born. Here we are today, sister power combined, designing our own bridal collection fuelled by passion and love, we’re slightly obsessed.
What do you enjoy the most about what you do?
It’s majorly satisfying seeing photos of our stunning brides looking so happy in our designs on their special day. We enjoy every moment leading up to this point, from the fabric selection, to the final consult, and we’re so lucky we get to do it over and over and over again.
How would you describe your products?
Soulful, playful and anything but ordinary. We design and create original, unique, fashion-forward bridal gowns for the modern woman.
Your favourite piece from the collection and why?
Our new design “Lola” is our current favourite. We took quite a risk with our bold lace selection, and boy were we happy with the final result. Lola was designed with the modern bride in mind. She’s fashion forward, playful, uber comfortable and light as a feather. Perfect for a summer wedding.
Top tip for Brides when picking their look for their day?
100% be comfortable. If you’re comfortable, you’re confident, and if you’re confident then you can rock anything!
What are some of the special features of your product?
Our gowns are designed with the summer bride in mind and are light, breathable and comfortable. The lace on its own is a very special feature and we like to ensure there is a pop of wow in every gown we design.
What inspires you in your business?
Being surrounded by like-minded, supportive people is hugely inspiring. Find something you love and do it, live it. If you love what you do then you’ll never work a day in your life….true story!!
How regularly can brides expect to see new collections?
At the moment, annually.
